I find this very useful when I’m bambi on a server, because it can be used to kill zombies without letting them get close enough to kill you.Īfter I’ve put the spear into a holster, I set about the relatively simple process of chopping another bush down to repeat the process of getting one long stick and some rope, so that I can craft a small axe. I cut the large stick on the ground into small sticks and make some rope. There are usually 3 small sticks on the ground and one more large stick. Then I look for a bush, cut it down and pick up a long stick.
I do it again! (yeah I know!) and then I have two more stones – they will be used to make a stone head spear. I put the axe head in my pants (yeah… I know how that sounds). Then I do it again, get two more stones and make a small axe head. I always give myself basic survival skill so I can see where North is by using the compass (hold right mouse button to access your compass).Īs soon as I see a small pile of stones, I search to get two stones and from those, I make myself a basic stone knife.
I then begin to move slowly (very) in that direction.
Ideally, I like to head for a village or small collection of buildings at first. If you’re not, it might be a bit of a yawnfest, but hey, read it anyway, you never know!Īs soon as I spawn into the game, I take a look at map (press m) and get a rough idea where I might head. If you’re brand spanking new to Scum, it might prove valuable to you. Everybody has their own way of starting out in a new Scum server, but in case anyone might find it useful, I thought I’d share mine.
